The post modern contemporary world is changing at an accelerated scale. It is a challenge for educators to cope with the dynamic world order and prepare their students for the future.
It has rightly been said by Margaret Mead that” Children needs to be taught how to think, not what to think.”
Govt High School Amad has withstood change since its inception in 1963 and has cartered to the needs and aspirations of the public at large.
It has always tried to inculcate creativity, critical thinking, innovation, rationality along with proper values of life in its students.
The school conducts an array of activities throughout the years bringing out all these skills among children.
The school has not only conducted umpteen number of curricular, co curricular, Sports and cultural activities but also bought laurels at Zonal, District, State and National levels in above activities.
Be it Fit India Quiz, Inspire MANAK awards, Basha Sangam competitions, Kala Utsovs or zonal level games, our students have proved to be second to none.
Our goal always has been to make Govt High school Amad the numero uno school of Ashmuqam zone and it gives me immense pleasure to share that we already are there now. we are now trying to competing with schools at district and state level.
Our way of conducting cultural activities have been acknowledged by Cultural Wing of CEO office Anantnag and others are following the suit.
In Science, we won 5 Inspire Awards in last three years which in itself in unbelievable feat to achieve.
In academics, our students are highly competitive and are achieving positions at complex head level and zone level.
We are also the only school of J&K to launch our own calendar for the year 2022 and now for 2023 which is unprecedented in school education.
This year, we are planning to launch our school magzine and new IT based courses for our students.
This all was not possible without the cooperation of our beloved staff. It is only because of their competence and resourcefulness that made us what we are today. They stood up like rock for the welfare and education of our children.
I thank them all for their collaboration, cooperation and commitment.
